Allow for leaving the aircraft, baggage collection and any applicable immigration or customs processing. Keep the group and all luggage together; a landed flight does not mean the passengers are ready at the pickup point.

EWR publishes ground-transportation instructions for prebooked rides separately from its Uber and Lyft pickup locations. Follow the instructions for your booked service; a ride-app sign alone does not identify your chauffeur's meeting point.

Times Square, Theater District, Hudson Yards and Penn Station area
Send the hotel or building address, not just Times Square. A lobby, residence entrance and vehicle-loading entrance can be on different streets. For a show or event, include the actual venue entrance and arrival deadline; street access can change.
Grand Central, Park Avenue, Murray Hill and the East Side
Include the avenue, cross street and building entrance. Reaching the Manhattan side of a tunnel is not the end of this trip: the crosstown leg and final loading point still matter. Tell us if a meeting or train connection has a firm start time.
SoHo, Tribeca, Battery Park City, Wall Street and the World Trade Center area
Use the specific hotel, residence, office or venue address. A district name or landmark pin can leave you at the wrong side of a large building. Add security-desk, accessible-entrance or permitted loading instructions supplied by your host.
Both sides of Central Park, Harlem and addresses farther north
Specify the side of Manhattan and exact street number. Uptown is not the same ground journey as a Midtown hotel. For a hospital, campus or museum visit, provide the appropriate visitor entrance and any assistance or equipment requirements.
Direction-specific planning
There is no single dependable EWR-to-Manhattan drive time. Airport roads, the Hudson crossing and the last city blocks are separate variables. The Holland or Lincoln Tunnel decision depends on the destination and live conditions, not a fixed promise made when you book.
Give reservations your actual hotel or appointment address and any hard deadline. Ask for a trip-specific estimate and an appropriate buffer. A meeting shortly after touchdown leaves little room for a late flight, slow baggage delivery or traffic; a car reservation cannot remove those risks.

Choose your service format
Choose a point-to-point transfer for one confirmed EWR pickup and Manhattan destination. Your party travels to the address on the reservation.

Rail planning note, checked September 14, 2026: EWR's notice for July 27-November 13, 2026 calls for shuttle buses instead of AirTrain to/from the airport rail station on weekdays, 5 a.m.-3 p.m. ET, with 10-15 extra minutes advised. Check the dated AirTrain notice again for your travel day; this is not a closure of all airport transportation.
